About Me

Stanley  is the "Brown Dog" or "Big Dog" - he goes by many names.  He is a BIG guy who weighs in around 90 pounds.  

He is a happy dog and is very  welcoming to dogs of all ages.  

He was my training partner for years and could be found by my side almost every day.  His favorite job was "Mayor of Puppy Town".  He LOVED helping the shy pups,

He was my training partner for years and could be found by my side almost every day.  His favorite job was "Mayor of Puppy Town".  He LOVED helping the shy pups, the smaller the better!  He is ten years old and is mostly retired now. 

He has a very loving, gentle soul and loves all people and dogs.

He reminds me everyday to find the joy in the simple pleasures of life.  Like a good bone or a long walk in the woods.

I have been working with dogs since 2004 and built a very successful traditional dog training business from the ground up. However, when the covid-19 pandemic hit, I could no longer offer family-style group classes. I initially resisted offering virtual courses, but as the pandemic went from months to years, I realized it was "pivot or die." So, I pivoted. After completing my first course, I realized my business was fundamentally changed, and I was never going back to the "old way" and Namastay University was born.

Walter is our newest addition.  He is 3 years old and came to our family to alleviate Stanley's grief after Maverick and Jasper died.

Walter is a love, as a brand new puppy he would lay on the bed with my Dad in the nursing home and just snuggle in and bring comfort.  

He is a brilliant dog and a watcher - he watches everything.  He is a

He is a brilliant dog and a watcher - he watches everything.  He is a challenging dog with some interesting quirks that keep me on my training toes.  There is no "auto pilot" with Walter.  

He is still coming into his own and  every day I ask him "Who are you?" and everyday he answers me with a smile and a clue.
